The company's generators are used in various applications for the oil and gas industry. Atrex received the first-ever certification from the Canadi- an Standards Association (CSA) under its new FC-1 Standard for its high efficiency and fuel flexible ARP units provid- ing power in a range from 500 to 4,500 watts. CSA certi- fication is a widely accepted, rigorous standard of safety, reliability and performance. The company's products offer low carbon, environmental solutions for essential off-grid power needs, including instrumentation and automation systems for the oil and gas industry, cathodic protection and telecommunications. "This certification is a major milestone for Atrex, and a breakthrough for solid oxide fuel cell technology in general. It is a recognition of the safety and reliability of this technol- ogy in a world that is seeking low carbon, environmentally clean power solutions. This will expand dramatically the adoption of our power solutions," said Gary Simon, president and CEO. "Customers in Canada and throughout the world require this safety certification to purchase equipment, and now we have it." CSA Approves Atrex Energy Remote Power Generators The Atrex Energy commercial fuel cell-based power generators run on natural gas and propane and do not require hydrogen. The company's units are increasingly being recognized as among the most cost-effective, clean solution to provide pow- er in remote areas, with more than 400 units deliv- ered to more than 50 well-known customers across North America. The Atrex products are the result of 15 years of research and product development in Massachusetts.
